Beecroft Netball Club is a community of players, families, coaches, umpires and volunteers who share a love of the game of netball. We are committed to providing a safe, inclusive environment for every person connected to our club. We welcome players of all abilities from those hoping to play representative netball to those who just want to have fun with their friends and be part of a team.
We have been active in the local community for over 50 years. A founding member of the Hills District Netball Association (HDNA) competition in 1968, we have had teams compete every year since.
With over 200 players and 30 teams, we are one of the largest clubs in the Hills competition, with players from Net Set Go U8s all the way through to seniors.
Games are played in the HDNA winter competition, at Pennant Hills Park. Net Set Go (U8 and U9) on Friday night, Juniors (U10+) and Seniors on Saturday. Training for Net Set Go is on Friday afternoon at Pennant Hills Park. For all other teams, training is at the discretion of the coach and usually held during the week at Cheltenham Oval. Some teams play in summer competitions at HDNA and other associations – entry to these competitions is organised by the individual teams.
The club is run entirely by volunteers, and is successful because the players, coaches and supporters work and play together, fostering friendships during the netball season and beyond.
Throughout the years, many players and administrators have represented the club at state and national level, such as Julia Symons, Catherine Cox, Louise Blackshaw (players), Bev Watson and Margaret Coe (administrators). Every year we have players selected in the HDNA Representative teams.
New members are always welcome and new committee members appreciated with open arms!
